ABOUT KRAYOLAND
KRAYOLAND is an interactive hybrid animated series along with 3D printed toy collectibles created to help children learn how to identify and manage their basic emotions. The series comprises five main episodes wherein the audience can choose what action to take on behalf of the main character after encountering specific situations while the toy collection was incorporated with a sensory toy design for its interactivity. This project not only aims to encourage children to understand and be aware of their emotions but also to promote the importance of a child's emotional development as this plays a significant role in growing up as better and stable individuals in the future.
This project focuses on improving the emotional labeling and management skills of the target audience which are children in the age of 5-7 years old. Considering how animation served as a consistent tool for children's entertainment, Krayoland was created as a hybrid animated series that mainly composes 3D with 2D elements. Utilizing so made the perfect medium for the team to create a show appealing enough for the developing young minds.
Suppressed emotions may result in cases of mental illness and disorders which are not uncommon in today's world. These emotions have the ability to impact their education, as it influences their memory and process of learning. That is why Krayoland was produced with the intent of informing children about emotional expression and management as emotional literacy is a foundation to their mental well being.
VILLAGERS
Krayoland became a home of lovable characters that made the adventure extra fun and exciting. Meet the people behind each amazing voice who brought the villagers to life.
emotoo is a combination of the words "emo" and "too" which is a shortened version of the phrase "emotional too". This conveys that children can be emotional as well, and learning to differentiate what they feel is fundamental to their emotional development which led the team in creating a sensory toy collection intended for improving their ability to label their emotions and identify them from each other.
